The African Rural and Agricultural Association is happy to announce its upcoming Training Program on Financial Inclusion to be held in India from 26th – 31st October 2015 (exclusive of travel time).
This exciting programme will feature a blend of presentations by leading financial and other industry stakeholders on the feat achieved by India in developing an inclusive financial sector. Primarily, the design of the Programme is expected to enhance participants’ technical and managerial capabilities in improving outreach and farmer support literacy initiatives. This is in addition to offering participants a platform for exploring partnership and investment opportunities with institutions with considerable experience in Agricultural and Rural Development as well as sharing core and complimentary experiences in the industry.
By the end of the training programme the participants will be able to:
- Explain the importance of financial inclusion and financial literacy.
- List out efforts and strategy for achieving enhancing outreach
- Describe Bank-led model for FI -Indian experience
- Describe features of SHG. Use of SHG as BC
- Describe various components of Financial Inclusion like , micro Insurance, pension and remittances etc
The programme will cost only USD$1,500.00 per participant from Afraca member institutions and USD$1,800.00 per participant from non-Afraca members to cover airport reception, accommodation, lunches, refreshments, in-country transportation, ground logistics, training materials as well as administrative costs.
