Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) is set up under an Act of Parliament and is the principal financial institution, for promotion, financing and development of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector and co-ordination of the functions of the various Institutions engaged in similar activities. Over the years, through its various financial and developmental measures, the bank has touched the lives of people across various strata of the society, impacted enterprises over the entire MSME spectrum and engaged with many credible institutions in the MSME ecosystem.
SIDBI National Microfinance Congress is organized annually. The 2019, conference is organized in partnership with various agencies such as the KfW, DFID, UK, MUDRA, Equifax and PWC. The event shall be a platform for convergence of all stakeholders, to deliberate on the contemporary developments, the emerging challenges, the possible solutions and envisage the vision of microfinance in India.
The Congress is expected to be attended by around 250-300 participants from microfinance institutions, banks, Ministry of MSME and digital financial services practitioners, academics, international experts and more.
