The opportunity for market stakeholders working with smallholder farmers to learn from challenges and opportunities in increasing digitally enabled services for smallholder farmers is being made available through the first Kenya annual learning workshop on December 6, 2016, in Nairobi. This learning event is hosted by AgriFin Accelerate, a development program of Mercy Corps funded by The MasterCard Foundation.
The learning event will allow participants to hear how increased Internet tools are used to drive innovation and massive outreach of services for smallholder farmers, transport logistics constraints for smallholders across the full spectrum of rural to urban markets, role of partnerships in accelerating access and use of digital financial services by smallholders, and opportunities for optimizing the same. There will also be a closing panel discussion with representatives of Google, Facebook, Uber, and OLX on the transformative potential of Internet tools for agriculture in Sub-Sahara Africa.
Registration deadline: 25th November, 2016.
