Livelihoods Asia Summit is a pan Asia platform to facilitate a South-South dialogue on livelihoods enhancement and poverty reduction. This year, the Livelihoods Asia Summit will be held between December 10 and 11, 2014 in New Delhi, India. Over 600 stakeholders from about 10 Asian countries, including policy makers, practitioners, academia, researchers, multilateral/ bilateral agencies and private sector companies are expected to participate in the Summit with over 60 eminent thought leaders and sector specialists speaking in various panels.
The Summit intends to explore scalable solutions that involve livelihoods innovations, natural resource management models and framework, collective action for small holder farmers, inclusive value chains, empowering women in agriculture, skill development and private sector partnerships, among others. It will enable diverse stakeholders to meet and share experiences and breakthroughs, discuss issues and challenges that the poor face and build consensus on strategies for and within the region.
The Summit is organized by ACCESS Development Services, a pan India new generation livelihoods promoting organization with support from ICCo among other organizations such as Ford Foundation, Rabobank Foundation, Oxfam India and GIZ among others.
