About the Insurance Development Forum (IDF)
The Insurance Development Forum (IDF) was launched in 2015 during the United Nations COP21 Paris Climate Summit as a public-private partnership bringing together the insurance industry, multilateral organizations, non-governmental organizations and public sector institutions in support of the growth and development of insurance and its related risk management capabilities to help achieve the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Global 2030 Agenda.
About The IDF Summit 2023
The IDF Summit is the global flagship event of the climate and disaster risk finance and insurance community. It brings together members of the Partnership and the wider resilience and development community to debate pressing issues, exchange knowledge and share best practices and innovations.
The 2023 Summit will be focused on the theme “Ambition, Action & Impact“. Concerted ambition as we build towards the decade of delivery for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). An ambition which must be matched by Action and Impact focused on those who need it most and by those with the ability to deliver.
In driving impact, the IDF Summit calls for a systematic shift and urgency in forging partnerships across the public and private sector that can bring efficiency and scale in implementation that will be required to meet our collective expectation of the decade.
