This one‐week course aims to introduce the implications and lessons learnt from financial inclusion for regulators and policy makers. Participants will get a chance to comprehend and understand what mechanisms across the globe have been used historically, as well as what are emerging processes to boost financial inclusion via financially affordable and socially acceptable processes to serves the ultimate purpose of inclusive growth and shared prosperity.

  • Session 2: Financial inclusion models.
  • Session 3: Recent developments & emerging issues influencing financial inclusion strategies.
  • Session 4: Best practices, methodologies adopted by countries in using data and indicators to conduct financial inclusion assessment or diagnostics, including how data is collected, analyzed and used to support policy formulation.
  • Session 5: Approaches to measure impact of financial inclusion strategies.
  • Session 6: Innovative products in the financial inclusion space.
  • Session 7: Way forward.

Tuition and Accommodation Expenses:

  • $2,500. The fee includes:
    • Course fee, all training materials and five‐night accommodation in double rooms for the time of the training
    • Handouts, documentation and background literature will be assembled in a comprehensive participant handbook which will also be provided on USB device by the end of the training.
    • Delegates will be picked from the airport to the hotel.
    • Two guided City Tours of Kigali on two evenings and a dinner.
