Tuesday, May 24, 2016
This webinar will feature the “Smallholder Diaries: Building the Evidence Base with Farming Families in Pakistan, Tanzania and Mozambique.” The Smallholder Diaries opens a unique window onto the lives smallholder families and how they manage their money. Undertaken by the World Bank’s Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), this study collected detailed financial data from 270 small-scale farming households in Pakistan, Tanzania and Mozambique over a year.
The invited speaker, Jamie Anderson, financial sector specialist with CGAP, will explain the research and highlight key findings on income, expenses, risk management, and financial portfolios across the three samples. The presentation will focus on what financial service providers can learn from these findings in order to better understand smallholder clients and design appropriate financial solutions that meet their needs
