We are pleased to announce and invite you to our first webinar “AgriFin: Tools and Resources for Agriculture Finance Professionals” that will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 3:00 pm -4:00 pm CEST.
About the webinar
AgriFin is a special initiative to increase access to financial services for farmers and agribusinesses. The program focuses on activities that promote knowledge sharing and networking among financial institutions globally. The initiative is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and managed by the World Bank.
During this webinar, Valdete Berisha, Agriculture Specialist at the World Bank will talk about a wide range of resources and learning materials for agriculture finance professionals available on the AgriFin website, including the recently launched World Bank’s AgriFin Learning Video Series exploring key concepts in agricultural finance, the Agricultural Lending Tools corner, and other knowledge products that help build skills in agricultural finance. You will also have an opportunity to hear about AgriFin events which facilitate knowledge sharing and networking among a global audience of agricultural finance professionals.

Valdete Berisha
Valdete Berisha is an Operations Analyst in the Agriculture Global Practice of the World Bank. She manages AgriFin’s knowledge and networks platform which includes a wide range of resources for agricultural finance professionals. In addition, Valdete manages a monthly webinar series on agriculture finance and the publication of AgriFin’s monthly newsletter disseminated widely among a global audience of finance practitioners. As part of her job with AgriFin, Valdete also contributes to the development and publication of knowledge products on various agricultural finance topics. Before joining the World Bank in 2012, Valdete worked with the Globalization and Trade Research Group of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) from 2005-2012 where she conducted research on international trade and worked with the team that established AGRODEP, an economic modeling consortium for African researchers. Valdete holds a BA in International Relations & Political Science and an MA in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University’s School of Public Policy.
The session will be hosted by Emilio Hernandez , Agricultural Finance Officer, from the Agribusiness and Finance Group in AGS.
