XLRI Jamshedpur, one of the oldest Business Schools in India (www.xlri.ac.in) conducts the 3rd International Workshop on Inclusive Finance in October 31-November 2, 2014. The workshop consists of a series of (i) plenary sessions by distinguished speakers; (ii) thematic panel discussions; (iii) presentations of research papers, (iv) case studies, and (v) felicitation of innovators in the domain of financial inclusion. The theme for this year workshop is specifically addressed to institutional design such as bank-BC model of financial inclusion, credit delivery thro microfinance institutions and small banks, small holder agricultural finance, innovations in technology and mobile banking, urban migrants and remittances, financial capability and impact, financial incusion and social safety net. Along with the Workshop a national level competition, called Innovations4Impact, is being organized on November 1, 2014 inviting social innovators, microfinance institutions, and micro-entrepreneurs to present their work, that have made a difference to the life at the bottom of the pyramid by linking finance to livelihoods.
